Welcome Dubai Expo 2020 to the world on 1st October 2021

The unforeseen global pandemic covid-19 has disrupted many anticipated events all over the world including the Dubai Expo 2020 which had been postponed for a year now. However, the event would be still hosted, the organisers stated that it is fully ready to open its doors to the world in the latter half of the year and has successfully welcomed more than 1 lakh visitors to experience the Terra- The Sustainability Plan which had been organised from the 22nd of January to the 10th of April and this limited time frame did showcase the preview of the UAE community, one of Expo's 2020 signature visitor. The UAE gave glimpses of what the world was expecting when the first Expo would be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) from the 1st of October 2021 to 21st March 2022. The Expo welcomes people from different backgrounds to a common community where they can experience, innovate, explore and share ideas and enjoy working with one another. Though the expo had faced hindrances, but the renewed schedule dates of the Expo 2020 focuses on strengthening its founding promise that is to connect minds and to create a better and a prosperous future. Moreover the organizers happily shared that they were excited about the deeper impacts the world expo 2020 will bring, as it'll mark a ground, wherein people from different regions will come together, under one shade, globally unified to tackle some of the world's biggest challenges and issues, to restore mankind and shape a better post-pandemic world. However, the organisers have decided to stick to the name Expo 2020 though it is being held in 2021, due to marketing and branding purposes.

Dubai explore 2020 aims to inspire people by providing them a common platform for the biggest and best collaborations, innovation and corporations to be held all around the world. The Expo 2020 looks forward to fulfilling its theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future". The three sub themes, "Oppurtunity", "Mobility"and "Sustainability, guided by three districts encloses a central plaza named "Al Wasl". The huge 1083-acre site for the Expo, located near Dubai's southern border with Abu Dhabi, and has been designed by HOK, a USA based firm. The organizers are striving hard to prepare for the Expo, even in this post pandemic world, where a major part of the work goes in ensuring the health and safety and maintenance of all precautionary measures. The best of efforts are being drained to organise the event at a large scale maintaining its usual extravaganza even in this crisis situation.

And all this indeed fulfils the global goal of harnessing the power of collaboration, unity, and innovation, of the Expo, to emerge from this current state of crisis with sheer will, unity and determination in demand to restore mankind after this horrific phase. The organizers are also thankful to all the member states for the continued commitment to contributing to the World Expo 2020 in Dubai and make the event possible.
